The Mermaid Seacrets

This week we wanted to share a wonderful mask blend with you that gently cleanses, tones & hydrates. It's perfect for all skin types and super nourishing for the cold winter weather we've been having lately.

For this wonderful mask you will need the following:

The hibiscus polish is a potent botanical blend of Hibiscus, antioxidant-rich Kakadu Plum, calming oat meal extract and cleansing Rhassoul clay. Hibiscus Powder is high in AHA’s (alphay-hydroxy acids), which help to improve skin texture and balance the skin’s sebum production, encourages an even tone and is great for improving the overall look of the skin. Kakadu Plum contains powerful antioxidants that help protect the skin from free radicals and is great to help improve the appearance of damaged skin. Ghassoul Clay (or Rhassoul) is considered to be the finest clay in the world and is ideal for cleansing and detoxifying the skin, leaving it soft and supple.

The cleansing oil we blend into this blend of clays and extracts is the delicate and nourishing Neroli Cleansing Oil. Filled with rejuvenating and deeply moisturising and balancing oils, it helps improve skin texture, leaving it soft and silky. The Neroli essential oil in this blend encourages the regeneration of skin cells supporting healthy skin. Neroli also supports the healing of blemishes. It helps balance the skin’s sebum production, bringing the skin back to it’s healthy place. Camellia Oil is both restorative and rejuvenating to the skin. Rich in squalene Camellia oil helps keep skin soft and supple. Then we have Rice Bran Oil, which is high in Vitamin E, B and squalene which all deeply moisturise and help improve the skin’s elasticity. Pumpkin Seed Oil is high in salicylic acid, which gently exfoliates, improving the skin’s texture. Finally, Grapefruit and Ylang Ylang essential oils balance overactive sebum producing glands & help improve skin tone.

To mix these two products we will need to blend it all with a little bit of water. I know it can be really hard to get the water quantity right. And many, many people do get it wrong. So the best way to start is to add drop by drop. You can use a teaspoon and only add half of it to the mask mix, then gently blend and add more water if it's too little. If the mask is too fluid, simply add a little more of the Hibiscus Polish and blend until you have the right consistency.

I also made a video to show how you can easily fix the problem if you added too much water. You will simply need to add more clay little by little.

The below video shows how gently blending the ingredients creates the most delicious face mask + it's a lot of FUN too! And the colour is so pretty too.

The blend of these two beautiful products with water makes for a smoothing and absolutely heavenly scented mask - perfect for feeding tired Mermaid skin!

We'd love to hear what you thought about this Mermaid Seacret! Let us know how you go with mixing these two beauties!

Truly enjoy, Mermaids! 🐚
